Here's a rigging/modeling project that has consumed much of my time lately, it includes the eye rig from my previous entry. It's still a work in progress, but I've learned a lot in the process already. Below is a simple motion test using some, but not all of the shapes that compose the rig. More still to do!

Work in progress? Right...
Amazing, extremely impressive. I'm looking for my jaw actually.
Thanks for the kind words Luki :)
I wish I could call it finished but after this test I can see all the things I need to do.. like the tongue, sticky-lips solution maybe.. more shapes.. and a proper lip sync performance!
Btw, love your work, I'm a fan. You've got a great style!
Super realistic!,
..if you plan to work more on it you can add some subtle ear movements on jaw open, and stress the platysma little bit more but that depends what you after...
Really like the model. I hope you are going to share more details.
Thanks! Will definitely post some more details in another update. If you look closely theres some subtle ear movement much of the mouth movement, although that's a good call on the jaw open, it could use more to be more convincing!
Love it!!
superb work and great model dude !

Wow, I've been fan of your stuff for the longest. This face rig is just pfss no words, well just one. Kicks ass, lol.

Really outstanding work...the face is a difficult beast to tackle, but you're achieving some great results.
I was hoping you could explain a little how you put this together.
How much of the face rig is blendShapes? How many shapes did you model? I'd also be interested to know how you break your shapes up...do you model an entire expression and break this into regions or do you use more of a FACS based approach?
I also saw the eye test you posted. I'd appreciate it if you explain a bit about how you put this together too?
Wow, great model and really amazing expressions. Looks perfect!

For those who asked, there's about 100 shapes driving it in total right now, about 50 of those are unique and the rest are left and right shapes and combinations.

Hi - I'm from the Academy of Art University in San Francisco. Is this facial rig available for purchase? I'd love to discuss your work.
